Free Books

With Little Free Library we offer free books from our private collection, neighborhood donors, and other charitable sources. Book selections are freshened and rotated usually daily—spanning fiction, nonfiction, reference, young adult, and children’s hard and soft cover books. Books are indexed using Library Thing, a free online service for both individuals and independent libraries.

Little Free Library (LFL) books can be returned to any other LFL for reuse. With over 200,000 locations worldwide, we have a global nonprofit system maintained by community volunteers. LFL books are not for resale. Inside covers are clearly labeled as such. 

Only Books

Longfellow Villa only accommodates professionally published book titles, and we gladly accept community donations. Other materials such as magazines, pamphlets, flyers, and anything else will be properly recycled and discarded. Books containing political propaganda, religious proselytizing, hate speech, pornography, or any subject matter harmful to the community may be discarded.

Please keep Little Free Libraries uncluttered. Note that many markets and coffeeshops have public bulletin boards where public announcements and handouts may be distributed.
